Youth Creativity Project is a 501(3)(C) youth-led non-profit organization dedicated to bringing youth in healthcare facilities a sense of connection through art activities. We donate art kits and materials youth health care facilities around the DMV, and partner with youth health centers to host art workshops and lessons. YCP has partnered with youth disability, mental health, and long-term care facilities in addition to general children's hospitals. We were established in October 2020 by high school students in the DMV area with a passion for art. Our founders wanted to create a unique way to help others remotely. 

 

Mia is a senior at McLean High School. She has a passion for digital art and design, as well as creative writing.

My name is Julia and I’m extremely passionate about the visual arts - my main mediums are digital, acrylic, and gouache. Outside of art, I treasure my Spotify playlists, long runs with company, rewatching Ghibli films, and more! In the past few years, I’ve realized my passions for the arts and business, community-building, art activism, and changing the “stigma” around pursuing art as a serious career. I’m ecstatic to continue this work at YCP!!

 I’m Akshara, a 15-year-old who loves painting and hiking in the mountains. I enjoy hanging out with my friends and dream of traveling the world someday. I’m so excited to be a part of YCP and meet all of you!
